Les Rendez-vous de la Francophonie 2019

March is the Francophone month.

In partnership with the Fédération culturelle de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard, the Conseil acadien de Rustico offered to the community activities in French, during the whole month.

On March 9th, the CaR proposed 3 activities as snowshoe walk along the Sentier de nos racines trail, a chili super and a youth show with the talented Brennen Gallant, Jenna-Marie Gallant and Chloé Needham.

On March 14th, the Centre acadien Grand-Rustio organized an open-doors day partnering Saint-Augustine’s school, the early years center Les petits rayons de soleil, the Comité de parents and most of the francophone organizations and partners.

Two nights during the month, the CaR offered the airing of 2 movies form the National Film Board of Canada.

And to end this month, on April 30th the CaR hosted a square dance called by Ward MacDonald from Here we go Barndances. Over a 100 persons had fun and danced to Pastelle LeBlanc and Pascal Miousse music form the group Vishtèn.
